I'm helping friends who recently moved out of a homeless shelter and into their very own apartment (woohoo!) to furnish their new home.
They've gotten a lot of terrific donations so far, but here are a few things they still need:
- Working lamps in good condition (floor or table models)
- Twin sheets (and mattress pads) in good condition
- Framed art posters (colorful and in good shape; modern art & African American themes especially of interest)
- Chef's knife
- Mixing bowls
- Roasting pan
- Matching dishes (4-6 place settings, preferably modern-style ceramic - they have some random dishes, but a matched set would be a lovely surprise!)
