I have a Kenmore model 385.17828490 sewing machine -- all parts appear intact and present, except the HANDWHEEL is locked solid. I understand this means the machine must be disassembled and lubricated from the bottom up. I think it may have had water damage -- but the lights come on, and the motor 'works' (I can hear it hum). If you're up for a challenge, mechanically, I suspect this might be a machine with years to go -- it looks almost unused. Has a cover, so it is a portable, table-top machine with a free arm and lots of settings.
I will be home early Thursday or Friday afternoon; let me know when you want to come and a phone number where I can reach you easily. Thanks for freecycling!
