[BrooklynFreeCycle] Offer: Teak secretary desk, Danish Mid-Century Modern(ish) (Prospect Heights, Lincoln Place near Underhill) [3 Attachments]

[Attachment(s) from Bryce Taylor hibryce@yahoo.com [BrooklynFreeCycle] included below]

I have a Danish secretary desk in teak veneer.   It has 2 doors that hinge open and a work surface that folds down and out.

I'm attaching some photos.

I've found similar examples online, such as:

Condition:
  • The finish is a little dry. I think it's got an oil finish, so it could be freshened up with some teak oil (or tung or Watco).
  • It's got a few light splotches - water marks, I'm guessing - on the top surface.  I expect teak oil would reduce those.
  • I believe it used to have slide out bins - maybe file boxes - in the lower part of each door.  You can see wooden strips in the photo "Open-Front.jpg", that could have served as glides.  Sadly, those are missing.
Size:
Closed, it measures 31.5"wide x 47.25"tall x 20" deep.
It opens to 66" wide x 30.5"deep.

I am in Prospect Heights, just off Grand Army Plaza.

It's a nice piece, but i just don't have space/use for it.  I'd hate to just trash it.

If you're interested, please email me at hibryce@yahoo.com.

Thanks
