[BrooklynFreeCycle] Offer: Sewing supplies -- 3 bags fabric, thread, batting, books (Downtown Brooklyn)

I have three bags of fabric and notions available. The pieces of fabric range from 1/2 a yard to 3 yard lengths and are mostly apparel fabrics (maybe a few small pieces of quilting appropriate).

  • Fabric: There's a piece of polka dot swimsuit fabric, some pieces of ITY jersey in a few colors, some small pieces of silk, a piece of African wax print, some purple poly/cotton shirting, some cotton broadcloth, some printed poly chiffon florals, some brown jersey interlock, some small pieces of bright rayon jersey from Mood, and some scraps of silk and felt, a piece of poly lining material. Mostly bought in the Garment District.
  • Thread: The bag of thread is a mix of cotton quilting thread (Gutternman and Metrosene brand) and Sulky rayon embroidery thread. I also have some elastic and a few other little notions in the bag.
  • Batting: And there is a package of organic cotton quilt batting (think it is a baby quilt size) but a small piece has been cut off, so it would have to be a somewhat smaller quilt.
  • Books: I have some sewing books too if you want them as well: Sew U by Wendy Mullin (the patterns are intact, but traced), Fantastic Fit for Every Body.

Preference to someone who will take the lot sometime in the next few days. The bags are not big and should be easy to carry, but they are just flimsy plastic grocery bags, so you might want something sturdier to put them in.

Pet-free and smoke-free home. Most of the fabric has been pre-washed. I am destashing in preparation for a move and may have more in a few weeks.

Pickup near the Brooklyn Transit Museum.
